Antifoamers
Antifoamers are special additives preventing further foaming and enabling a rapid foam destruсtion due to the action of active ingredients. The use of defoaming compositions results in better production quality, increase of net capacity of tanks, better resistance to wear and tear of equipment, and its longer service life, thus in lower production costs.

Peculiarities as for using the antifoamers for drill muds.
Active additives for foam building neutralization are important ingredients of a drill mud containing foam building reactants: surfactants, polymers, greasing compositions. Foam building at sinking by boring, results in change of density and drill mud properties ant that can bring with caving ground and different gas, water and oil shows
In order to suppress foam building, following reactants are introduced in water based drill muds:
- Mineral oil based reactants;
- Silicone containing reactants;
- Silicone-free reactants.

Although the prices for different brands of antifoamers are slightly different they are always moderate for bulk purchase. It comprises prices for components, formulation complexity, as well as other production costs.
